Life goes on

This past month has been super crazy and just emotionally/mentally/physically exhausting. It all started when my best friend Nicole left for Japan. I miss her so much =/ I wish she could come back. Also, we found out my aunt Tami has stage 4 cancer of the appendix. It’s an extremely rare cancer and they don’t treat it in Utah. However, there are some places in the USA that DO treat it and have had lots of success so I have lots of hope. I love my aunt Tami so much she literally is a one in a million kinda person. She has the ability to make anyone and everyone feel important and she has such a bubbly personality and always makes me laugh. It doesn’t seem fair that the best kind of ppl have to go through stuff like this. Plus as you may or may not know, I started the Medical Assisting program last month and my sleeping schedule has changed drastically. I haven’t gotten up at 6AM for school since high school! And it’s a long day of just studying there lemme tell ya! I’ve just been having a hard time adjusting to everything happening at the same time I guess…but instead of dwelling on the bad, I’ve decided to make a list of the things that have been making me happy! Sometimes bad things that happen in life make us forget about all the good things we have. Gratitude for the positive things in my life helps unlock a lot of happiness and makes life seem not so bad. Here it goes:

1. Taylor Swift

-I absolutely LOVE Taylor Swift. Lately she is all that I've been listening to. She's so extremely talented and you can related to every single one of her songs.

2. 311

-I grew up listening to 311 and while I used to hate them, I grew to love them and now they are one of my favorite bands! Their songs really do soothe the soul and make life feel so much better. I'm going to their concert next week wooohooo :D

3.Chocolate

-This is a no-brainer. DUH! Chocolate=Happiness.

4.Books

-Whenever I start getting super stressed I read. I can read for hours at a time if the book is right. It's my little escape from reality for just a little while.

5.Food

-YUMM!!! I went to Noodles and company today with my mom and sister and I ate a huge bowl of their macaroni and cheese. I think I have a food addiction. If I had to choose 3 meals I would have for the rest of my life it would look a little something like this: Breakfast: Mcdonalds egg bacon and cheese biscuit with hasbrowns and orange juice Lunch: Macaroni from Noodles and Company Dinner: Pizza/Pasta. Mmmmm.

6. School/Medical Assisting

-yeah I know I complain from time to time but I truly do love school and that includes the Medical Assisting program. I begin lab in a couple weeks when I'll get to draw blood, give shots, learn how to do EKGs and more! I can't wait for that part :D

7. Good movies

-I went to see the new movie "The Help" last night and WOW that show was amazing! It's based on a book and apparently the books is really good too but I haven't gotten around to reading it yet.

8.Roxy

-I love my cute little Roxy bug!! Whenever I come home she always jumps up on me and wags her weird little tail and gives me a bunch of kisses. She makes me happy < 3

9. Friends/Family

-What would I do without such amazing people in my life? In short, I would be nothing without them. I love them so much they make my life worth living.

10. The Gospel

-Without the gospel in my life I don't know what I would do. My testimony has grown a lot this past year and it has made all the difference in the world in my life.

11. Traveling

-Still working on going to China in February so that's been something to look forward to!!

12. New adventures!

-Things become too routine sometimes and I love doing things that get me outta my safety/comfort bubble and I love doing new things that broaden my horizons!
