Vegas '10 BABY!

Vegas was AWESOME!!! It was a much needed vacation and I’m so glad that my coworker let me come, even though it was very random. It was my first time walking the strip and I had a blast. Okay so we left BC around 1 PM Thursday night and got to Las Vegas around 8 or 9 PM. We stayed at Worldmark by Wyndham which was like an upscale apartment complex with four different swimming areas including a lazy river and a waterfall/”grotto” thing and it was absolutely gorgeous. That first night we just kind of relaxed and went hot tubbing and afterwards played the longest game of UNO in world history and I can honestly say I haven’t laughed that hard in months (not to mention I learned a lot more about these people that night then I think I wanted to haha)!

The next day we all took the shuttle to the strip and just walked around looking at everything. We went to the lion habitat and indoor rainforest at the MGM Grand, spent most our time in Excalibur, went to the botanical gardens at the Bellagio, we wandered around the Forum shoppes for hours just looking at all the cool different stores, etc etc. Inside the Forum was GORGOEUS; there were so many beautiful statues and fountains and different shops and there was just so much to look at… me and Aubrey had so much fun! We went straight to the Playboy store and took some pictures and tried a bunch of gelato samples and stuff. There were so many different stores and I wish I would have had more money, even though most of those stores were super expensive like Gucci and Louis Vuitton. OH and how cool is this, the main guy over Fendi was designing a purse right in the middle of the mall!

After that we walked over to M&M world and watched “I lost my M in Vegas” and looked at all the different m&m stuff they had….and it was a lot. Like, four floors of m&m stuff. I was in heaven! After that we walked around awhile longer before the boys left us around 5 or 6. Me and Aubrey just kept going and got pictures with Iron man, saw a bunch of angels and devils and spongebob and a mime and avoided eye contact with those guys who flick their little cards at everyone! At 8 we went to “Thunder from down under” and watched as a bunch of gorgeous Australian men stripped for us haha it was so much fun! Yes, I slapped a few butts and even kissed the host on the mouth. That was prolly one of my favorite parts of the trip. After that we got back to the hotel and the guys were being lame so we went straight to bed that night.

The next day me and Aubrey didn’t want to wait around for the guys so we took the shuttle to the strip on our own. We ended up at Madame Tussaud’s wax museum at the Venetian and let me tell you, that was the best $15 I have ever spent. All of the wax figures were so realistic, almost to the point of it being creepy, but we had so much fun taking pictures in there it was hilarious!

After that we met up with the guys and walked down to the Mandalay Bay to watch the Lion King. Ok so I had extremely high expectations and the Lion King exceeded them in every single way. It was incredible! I have never seen anything quite like that before. I would try to explain how amazing it is and why but you’d just have to see it for yourself. After the show, wandered around a bit and went over and saw the House of Blues and Coyote Ugly bars and watched all the people in the casinos haha it was entertaining for sure.

After that we went back to the Bellagio and watched the fountain light show which went to the beat of Frank Sinatra and then I RAN over to the Mirage and got there just on time to see the volcano eruption. After that we watched the “Sirens of TI” pirate show at Treaure Island. Me and Nate got separated from the others cause there were so many people and we ended up taking some random pictures with parrots on the street and I freaked out cause the guy put the parrot ON TOP OF MY HEAD!! Haha after that me and Nate had to book it to the shuttle before it left and we just barely made it on time.

After that we all went back to the hotel, ate some Panda Express, and played another card game before going to bed. The next morning my body hated me from walking so much those two days and from staying up so late so we just relaxed that last day and went down to the pool for a bit and then went out for lunch. After that me and Aubrey got a cab and went to the airport. This was my very first flight and I think it was ruined because I ended up sitting next to the two most annoying people on the entire flight. This guy was a middle-aged creeper who looked and acted like a pedophile. I know that sounds mean but seriously the entire flight he kept leaning REALLY close to my ear and talking to me and kept brushing up against my arm and leg even when I leaned far away from him. His 5-year-old son was singing songs and complaining the entire flight and at the very beginning when a bunch of people were trying to get on the plane he was waiting between me and the seat in front of me (A VERY SMALL SPACE ALREADY) and his dad leaned over and rested his elbow/arm on my leg while he whispered something to his son. They also traded seats multiple times during the flight. On top of that, we didn’t even get our peanuts/beverages service cause the flight wasn’t long enough. Sorry to complain but I was about ready to kill someone. Oh well, I had an amazing trip and can't wait for the next one...Calfornia in 6 months!!

how fun brookie!!! I love Vegas it's so much fun. M&M World is for sure my favorite part, but I always have to be prepared to spend $50 there!
