Afterwards we went back to our super AWESOME hotel room and just went swimming and watched the Lightning Thief. The next morning we drove to Yellowstone and, even though we were way behind due to construction, we were all excited to be there. We started out at the Lower Falls and it was sso beautiful overlooking the falls and the view was just amazing...This was probably my favorite part of Yellowstone.
After this I got in the back of the truck with Tyler and Megan and we drove the long way around so we didn't have to hit traffic, which was okay with me because driving around in the back of the truck with the warmth on my face and the wind in my fair was my favorite part of the trip. I got so many beautiful pictures!!
We continued on to the "Grand Canyon of Yellowstone" and Yellowstone Lake, and at Yellowstone Lake me and Tyler slid down the dirt hill so we could get right next to the water. I got some good pictures of us just hanging out down there, and then we climbed up a fallen tree and ate ice cream. :)
After going to Old Faithful Geyser and deciding not to wait another hour for it to go off (don't worry I've seen it before so i'm not too upset about it), we went to the Midway Geyser Basin and looked at all the thermal pools. At this point I began to to notice how hot and tired I was getting and how I was going to have a REALLY bad sunburn later that night so I started getting grumpy so luckily this was the last thing on the list. Nevertheless, it was really fun to walk on the board walks and see all the amazing colors. If you look closely you can see some animal prints in there!
After this, I was excited to go relax at a hotel somewhere but my mom warned me that the place might be ghetto because it was just a local Inn out in the middle of nowhere and the manager was going to greet us herself. However, once we got there, I loved it! It was basically a little apartment and it overlooked this really pretty lake. The manager was a really interesting lady and told me how to get rid of a sunburn and how she came to own her rescue dog "D-O-G." You could tell she was a really lonely woman and I wish I would have gotten to know her more. Once we left, I kind of wished my stay in Montana could have been a little longer but at the end of the day, there's no place like home!! :)
